Hi
I was the Doc at the Gender Clinic in Cairns (Dr Russel). Since estradiol valerate (injectable) was taken off the PBS list, he had got the hospital to make it available at the PBS price.
Now that the manufacture is no longer making it, we are looking for a replacement, and we both have thought about using pellets. Knowing they are used by a Gender Doc in Adelaide, we are looking for average doses, and any experiences (good and bad) from the use of them.

There are trans-dermal patches of oestradiol which are effective and less painful than having pellets injected and whats wrong with oestradiol itself (without the valerate) Blood levels can be measure so you know you are on an appropriate dose. Good luck anyway.

hey there...
I've been on pellet implants for 2 years and it was the best thing I ever did... But yeh we are all diff and react diff to diff drugs... best ask your doctor... But I found pellets to be much better for mood swings and hated injections...
