Hi again girls,
It seems after a very long silence I am suddenly motivated to seek your assistance.
What I was wondering was, if anyone knew of a TG friendly doctor in the western suburbs of Sydney - Penrith or Lower Blue Mountains would be ideal......
I realise that none of us can make a recommendation, but if someone is already using a local doctor who is TG friendly and understanding of TG issues and would care to share the Doctor's name with me, then that would be wonderful and save me a lot of heartache or travelling (or maybe both). I am not comfortable discussing TG issues with my current GP and a number of the reception staff are familiar with me and also know some of my acquantainces and are liable to "talk out of school" as I begin to change.
Gaye at the Gender Centre has been most kind and given me a list of doctors I could contact but all are located in the inner west and if possible, I would like to deal with someone more local to make it easier to keep appointments etc.
I know I am beginning a huge journey that started when I was about 8 years old and would like to think that I might get some of the support I need from members of TR.
