The transgender community has often in the past been characterised by secrecy, shame and destructive infighting.
At Tranny Radio we are trying to support a move to a more open, positive presence in society through better communication. awareness and support.
As part of our mission we encourage the organising of formal and informal social opportunities for the community.
And we also engender pride in participating in such events as it cultivates a more outward looking community.
The photographs taken at such events are valuable stimulus to both personal development and awareness in the community as a whole.
Whilst some girls actively seek both photographs and the subsequent publicity, other are more reticent about their image being on the web.
If your picture appears in a Tranny radio album what can you do?
Firstly, it is as well to understand that, under Australian law you do not have any right to privacy.
If you are out and about as a girl you cannot stop people taking your picture, nor can you control what happens to those pictures.
Tranny radio is only one of many possible ways your image may be used.

Notwithstanding the lack of legal rights, Tranny radio will consider requests to remove personal images
provided that the picture was not taken in a public place.
Pictures taken in restaurants, pubs, apartments and the like will be considered private
and will be removed or edited if you give good reason that the publicity will cause distress.
