In the short few years I've been around, I've probably been through more make-up artists than I've had hot English breakfasts! Thanks Viv, Melissa, Jackie, Mel, Jenny, Sharon, Kimmy, Francis and so many others I can't remember.
My problems were many, I like to argue, I am never happy and I love to go out. So I regard getting make up on as a necessary evil before I sprint out the door for good times.
Some months ago, for strange reasons, I felt the need to get more serious and really learn about this weird make up stuff. So I googled and a long chain eventuated. From Ideal Hairdo to Eden Sanctuary and finally "The Glamour Galaxy and Baby Venus". With a name like that, they've got to be crap, I thought.

So I rang as you do and Rox answered, Rox Baldan. She refused my invite for coffee and chat but did offer to come over for a trial make-over.
Lot of fun, very professional and I signed up for the course. Not the 8 weeks but a short 4 week version, one-on-one and at my place. Wow!
Well, four weeks of fun, hard work and great faces! I was worried it would be boring and I would fall asleep, as I do. Not so, each lesson covered the full range - preparation, face, eyes, lips - plus hairdo. So at the end of the three hour session I was ready to go out. !
Roxy's credentials are hair-dressing, make-up, training (10+ year national training manager with MAC) and now running her own business out of Paddington. She does't sell or promote products or services (apart from her own). Very refreshing.
She is not cheap but very good. When I asked her about transgender she smiled and said, "Hey, it's a face!" So it is.
No, I'm not on commission. Spread the word!

hi Jan
Well it sounds like you have a lot of fun, and that is one thing I have found lacking when doing my makeup. Seeing that I am always out in the western suburbs there might be difficult for her to make it to my home. So does she have a studio where she works to run the lessons, if so it might be more fun to do this with other girls are not on your own.
I am very happy to see you have found someone that has given you more confidence and that's something we all need.
Hope to see you soon

Well Hello Penny
Yes, Roxy does run a studio for workshops and lessons.
As per her website
http://www.theglamourgalaxy.com.au
her studio is at Axis - Hair Face Body, 25 Willam Street, Paddington
If enough girls are interested (5 or so) , she will run private workshops at her studio or other locations. Champagne included!
