Hiya gals!
Just thought I'd let you all know of a great shoe shop thast is tranny friendly and easy to get to in Sydaney. The shop is called www.highheels.com.au Yes, I know that is a URL, but they have a store in Elizabeth Street that is 5-8 minutes walk from central station.
The lovely lady who served me was in her mid twenties and did not bat an eyelid. We had a pleasant conversation in between her serving other customers (it is a busy little shop). At the same time I was trying on some shoes anther fellow came in and bought three pairs of stockings (kudos to you if you're reading this). Even when other customers came into the store they were cool with with me and what I was doing.
Just remember when you walk in and she asks "Can I help you?" don't be afraid to tell her what you are after. She really knows her stock and sizes. The pair I bought were on special, but I had the comfort of knowing that they would fit. Finding out that I am a size 15US was a big plus too. She was quite honest about the fact that there are few styles in my size, but I appreciate that.
Since her store is called 'highheels' you wont find flats or low heels there (she can order them in for you). The shop also has a variety of costumes and party wigs as well as a large selection of hosiery (although most plus sized items are special order).
Upon leaving the store I told her that I would do a little write up for her on Tranny Radio. Even though I asked her for her name, I forgot it (sorry). But if you need heels and can do a day trip to Central Station, this shop is worth the visit.
If any girls out there know of other shops that are/aren't tranny friendly (and especially if they carry US11+ sizes) please add it to this post. |
