Who really cares what the sales people think. On the whole, I have found that most of them are just interested in making the sale. On the rare occasion when one has asked me if the items in question were for me, I have answered yes. They just smirk and ring up the sale.

I usually restrict buying women's underwear to Christmas and Valentine's day.
But sometimes I can't wait. At those times I find it makes it it easier if I ask a clerk for help. I think having a woman with me helps me to feel less conspicuous, and it's fun to have a woman showing me things. Of course, ordering from catalogs is another approach. (Some times I'm so obsessed with getting a new pair of panties, or something, I just just ignore on feelings of discomfort buy them. My experience is that the personnel in lingerie departments never do or say anything to embarass me.

Who cares what the people in the stores think? I feel that it is very exciting to purchase sexy lingerie and have a feeling that the salesgirl knows. They have been very friendly and helpful to me if they have an idea the panties or lingerie is for me. Make the most of it. Strut your stuff honey!!!!

I always buy my lingerie in a very small boutique, early in the morning , when the mall isn't crowded. The sales lady is really helpfull and friendly. In fact. she consider me one of her best customers and several times she even saves some novelties specially for me

Part of the thrill of cross-dressing is buying lingerie!
In the US, it's easy to simply go to a better department store and shop around.
You may buy the wrong size the first time or two, but will soon learn the ropes.
I wear a 7 in Bali, for example, but an 8 in Maidenform.
It is the rare clerk who is offended.
In fact, just two days ago,I treated myself with a new, "baby doll" sleepwear set. The clerk complimented me on my "feminine and pretty" choice and proceeded to describe how to get a gift box.I simply said "it's not a gift." She said "oh," and then, when we finished the sale, she handed me the bag, smiled and said "well, in that case, enjoy yourself!

By acting as though your buying something like, a tool kit. Just be yourself. Acting nervous or as though you shouldn't be there will only make them look. Recently I bought a pair of panties and was in work boots and what I wear to work. I just bought them as though they were a CD, I looked at what I was buying, decided on what i wanted and went and paid for them, the shop had quite a few people in it. If you are nervous check out where the lingerie department is to find where you have to go, eg from a distance. Then go and get them so you don't walk around stupid. For the first time you could to a 24hour department store early in the morning when no ones around. Just act natural and don't feel worried or scared.

Girlfriend, fear not! I had this very conversation with a girlfriend of mine who manages a "Victoria's Secret" store. I wondered how to get a bra thats just the right size for my large shoulders. She said plainly "Just stop by and we'll fit you honey, you'd be surprised how many men we've fitted for lingerie over there" I guess we now know exactly what that secret of Victoria's really is! Love and support to you sweetie.

My experience is that most sales people really do not care that you are buying for yourself. At Victoria's Secret, the sales women are always very helpful and I am very honest that I am buying things for myself. They have often measured me, let me try things on and given their opinions on style, comfort, how it looks, etc. They usually smile and tell me to enjoy when they ring up my purchase. As for others shoppers, you get the occasional look, especially if you are using a changing room, but I don't care. The hardest part is to in the store the first couple of times, tell the sales person you are shopping for yourself, get measured for the right fit and ask to try things on. After a while it just becomes fun. Jack
