Okay ... im 27yrs old, already living everday as a woman . Now.. after a lot of thinking, and working stuff out with my partner, I've choicen to take the full step and go though the SRS in time when its ready and signed forms from the doctors ...
Now, few questions if you have had SRS,
I've heard of people doing it overseas .. is that becuse its cheaper?
Does anyone know of surgeons in Australia, (names please!) that can do the SRS... Can be anywhere in AUS, but Im in QLD, so QLD would be better.
I know it also takes a long time to get it done, after a lot of doctor's and stuff... Is that why people go over seas to have it done? .. also .. How do you go with your passports going as male and coming back as a woman? .. But then again, I guess they don't really know why your there ...
Now, I know im looking into a LOT of money I've head its anywhere from $3000-$100,000 for SRS
But I've made up my mind, nothing can change my mind back .
I know myself and my partner as going to need a lot of support, I hope I can find some in you girls out there ... It would mean so much to Ana (my partner) and myself .
The form is already being processed for the change of name ..
Please, If you in Qld, northside brisbane or sunshine coast, and are happy to talk / help / support myself and ana, we'ld love to here from you .. meet up for coffee and chat. You'd even be welcome to come to our place....
Anyway, m planing it in my head at the moment ..
Please contact me if you'd like to talk more or support
my msn is -: aneeshynne@iinet.net.au (same as email)
Thankyou girls

Hi Anee,
A ll Is Monash Medical Centre in Victoria had the only set up to do the procedure in Australia. IT HAS BEEN ON SHOWS LIKE 60 MINUTES WITH NEGATIVE FEED BACK , HOWEVER THAT WAS FROM A FEMALE TO MALE WHO SUED FOR BEEING MISDIAGNOSED. That to me does not bring into question the results you get, If I recall correctly at the time MONASH SAID THEY DONT HAVE A CENTRE PER SAY HOWEVER THEY BASICALLY HAVE A WOMAN AT A DESK WHO THEN CONTACTS RELEEVEANT Specialists who will do the operation there for you. iS THE SERVICE STILL AVAILABLE. I do not know I believe so. I just type SRS and goog quite often as I LIKE TO RESEARCH AND KNOW WHATS GOING ON WHO HAS A GOOD REP WHO HABNST. i AM A LONG WAY FROM IT HAVING JUST STARTED HORMONES AND THEN WELL THERE IS THE MONEY SIDE.
Its good to ask you want to ensure when you get there you get a good job doen and not butchered. I may also need facial femiinisation surgery to be more at ease with self but one thing i would like to say you you. i envy you there you do not your gorgous>
Good luck and if you ever get to Perth come and stay awhile in fact anyone is welcome here .
Pst by the way im cheeky im trying to chase peopel at the moment to start a foundation get donations from companies like mac make up is my dream to provide low interest or interest free loans to girls to ensure all can transition. ITS A DREAM AT THE MOMENT BUT SO FAR i have had much support with those i ask. Sadly governments say money should be spent for other health issues so. hmmmmmmmmm Im tryiing to get WA goverment to donate if I GET THE FOUNDATION GOING HOWEVER, aS MY NEW mop FRIEND Pointed out that could be a negative when the aim she is tryn to achieve is to get WA funding our transition so ill attack public companies and the gay and lesbian community.
Good luck
Jess

Most people go overseas for a better result not because of reasons of cost. 20 grand is about the most you should pay with a good job still possible well under 10. Haersch in syd does it but in my consult with him I decided he was too rough in his handling of me and a crap bedside manner. A lot of people underestimate the length of recovery involved and also do not consider fully what type of person, if any, will be attracted to them as a post op. So long as you go into it in the realization that srs does tend to place one in a non sort after position then they will be fine. The main considerations are what it is you want to achieve and how much donor material you have to achieve those results. If you are looking for depth with not much size to begin with then you really have narrowed down your choices in surgeons already because penile inversion will not deliver what you want so you will have to go with one of the scrotal graft surgeons. I have a Suporn model and even though he has a reputation as one of the best, if not the best, srs surgeon in the world I have still had 3 cosmetic revisions since the op and still in my opinion am in recovery some 2 years later. Although admittedly I am a perfectionist. And before anyone asks, no I havent used it yet and probably wont ever, but I know itdoes work well because if I cross my legs for long enough, well you get the idea Depth given to me at the time of surgery was about 7.5 inches but my slackness over the years in maintenance has brought me down to about 6 so far. I dont consider srs either to be neccessary nor to make one more of a woman so I think if it is something that someone wants todo go for it but just remember that you will lose all the chasers and gay men straight up and unless you can find someone interested in you for you other than a sexual manner you will always play second choice to the GG's in the opinion of Str8 males and Lez women. In Oct 2005 I travelled to Thailand for my SRS. I chose Dr Preecha Tiewtranon of the Preecha Aesthetic Institute in Bangkok for that surgery. The reasons for me were that he is the leading surgeon in Thailand for such surgery. His reputation is excellent and the testemonials from patients convinced me he was the person for the job.
On arrival in Bangkok and to his institute,we found his institute takes up one floor of the Bangkok Nursing Hospital. The hospital was one of the cleanest hospitals I have ever been in. The service was excellent and the medical care was top notch. Communicating with some of the nurses was difficult as there english was not good and my Thai was awful. One phrase I did get usage out of while I was there in Bangkok, was to tell some taxi drivers" to slow down or I would throw up".......
The operation cost me just under $10,000 US,which included the SRS,breast enhancement and eyelid surgery. This cost far outways the cost here in Australia and by the information I have and personal experience from others I have met shames our surgeons and hospitals.
It is now over 7 months since that surgery and I have had no problems at all with my surgical sites. Post surgical maintenance is important and following the instructions given to me ,which I followed to the letter ,I will never need any other corrective surgery for those operations.
I can only say to others contemplating such surgery,to research thoroughly the surgeon, listen to others who have been before you and make an informed judgement. For the step you are taking, there is no coming back........

Thank you all very much for your input on this, Yes, I know the is a HELL of a lot to go though to do such a thing ... I've been researching it and speak with my psy. endo, and GP ... Its still at least a few years away yet ...
The main reason for the first post in this forum was to let everyone know, That I had made up my mind about it ... Because until a few months ago, I did not know / or was unsure if i was going to go that finial step . my GG parter supports me in all of this, and is helping, she loves who I am now... Sure she was inlove with me a male, but she knew from the start with me about who i am.. and now, she's inlove with Anee more than ever "she says, She'd never thought she'd be inlove with woman!!"
Everything else around me is working out great, Im a much better person as a woman, and being talking to the psys, endo's and GP's over the years, GID has coursed me many problems in my past .. my male side of me is dead .. no longer exisits I am a woman, been proven but I was still unsure of the final step ...... Now, when its time, I will be ready to make that final step .
Thank you to all your replies .
Take care of yourselfs.
Love,Anee Shynne .. |
