Hi everyone, I did go out last week for the first time. and yes, it was everything that all of you had spoken about.
I went with a very good female friend who did a lot of reassuring and support stuff.
we went to Darlinghurst, of course, went shopping and then joined the Taxi Club. This will alwways give us a alternative venue if we want to go out and need somewhere to relax first.
we then went to a great place in Randwick called the Tea Scape. a lot of retro stuff there with pics of Marilyn and James Dean and lots of old things. all ages and not a soul took notice. The waitress just asked without blinking "can I help you ladies"? I doubt I pass by anyones measure. am 47yo, medium build etc. but at least no one would recognise me.
did a lot of walking around, swishing and being Sally.
So have now done it and look forward to the next time. It was very nerve wracking but well worth it.
Lots of hugs

there seems to be a chance I might go out for the first time this weekendd. Like many, it is something I want to do but need somewhere like a Cafe wherre TG is not unusual and I don't feel like I am the centre of attention. Yes, first time flutters for Sally. but am also not looking for dancing and a big night out, that might come later with a bit more confidnce.
So any suggestions in the Kingsford, Kensington area for a Cafe night? I have read these forums for years and know many girls just dont worry about going out, but I know once I do it once or twice nothing will stop me. Just want something simple.
Lots of thanks in advance,
Smiles
