Weekly Café Get-togethers - Brisbane
Weekly Wednesday get-togethers are held at a Brisbane inner city café. Here, you can have coffee, a meal or just sit and chit-chat. Most arrive about 7:30pm and stay until about 11pm. There is no fee to attend – just order what you want and pay before you leave.
The event is popular with an average of about 15 attending and up to 20 on some nights.
New people are always welcome and you should be send an introductory courtesy e-mail to Bernie at bernie.love@gmail.com. She started these weekly events a few years ago, and at the beginning spent many a week on her own-before the event became as popular as it is today. She can then tell you the venue details. Bernie often only checks her e-mail once a week on a Sunday, so please contact her well ahead of when you intend to participate.
The café is a big place with seating for about 100 and convenient free parking behind. It is licenced and has snacks and meals as well as hot beverages. The group usually sits near the Espresso Machine – look for the long line of tables.
Also the dress code for attendees is casual attire for a main stream open to the street café, or in male clothes. (No fantasy or risqué outfits please)
