Hi girls
I promised the shop assistant (owner?) I'd give them a plug, so here it is.

While in Canberra recently, we had a browse in this store. they import all sorts of Chinese gift items and silk dresses, scarves etc. The woman was a very attentive (Chinese style) assistant; we just wanted a quiet (Australian style) browse.

Anyway, I've always loved those Chinese silk dresses - not sure of their correct name - and decided to try one on (I was in boy mode, although, as usual, I was wearing women's underwear). The words of so many TR pioneers were ringing in my ears: I asked if she would mind if I tried it on.

There was a pause and an ever so slight step back, then "why not!" I tried on a few sizes (they are not consistent so if you want to find one you like, try it on, don't think one XXL is the same as the next XXL). She seemed genuinely surpirsed by how good the first one I showed her and my SO looked. After that she seemed to relax a little and was very helpful. Also, in Chinese style, she will accept some haggling (we should have bargained harder!).

So, if any of you Canberra girls like Chinese silk dresses, head to Oriental Styles in Dickson (opposite Maladjusted bike shop) and tell her the guy that bought the blue dress sent you!

Hello everyone thought you might like to know had great service and a laugh in this shop. Very attentive and enjoyed the spirit I told them that they may see some more Girls. The shop is G2 opposite the Post Office. As a nervous first time shopper it was a good experience.
