This Pub changed ownership on the 1st of August 1999. It remains a gay / lesbian / T-Girl venue, and I must give it a ratingas the number one real cool venue with understanding staff. Nothing seems to be a problem for the two girls running the hotel Lucyand her new girlfriend Felicity, are really great and always go out of their way to make you feel welcome and part of the place, theyhave a great night club attached to the hotel and have new extended operating hours. They also have drag shows, as well as othershows which are all well worth seeing. It also has a very nice restaurant/snack bar, well worth a try. Sunday evening offers a nicerelaxing night (to get over Saturday nite) with a variety of entertainment, they are always changing their format to keep things enjoyableand interesting. They always make you feel like one of the scene here, and offer help and advice when you need it.
This club and hotel would have to be the best gay / lesbian / T-Girl venue of Newcastle, with more and more T-Girls going there allthe time. Friday night would have to be the best night of all closely followed by Saturday night. You can generally be assured of findingother T-Girls there on those nights, and you never know, you might even run into me.
